Lives at Stake

Filipinos are known to be at ease during storms and typhoons, since we are actually used to situations as these. Either rain or shine, we advance to enhance our country as one. Although, ever since the pandemic has taken over our beloved nation, it was seen that many have suffered – from being financially broke, losing jobs, the peoples mental health taking its toll, countless deaths and many more due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is to be said that our “bayanihan spirit” wasn’t really seen nor observed as of those times due to the fact that many civilians only thought about themselves and didn’t really take the pandemic seriously which lead to suffering, death and the people to mourn. It is also to be said that a lot of people in our government are corrupted and may even use us for their needs and wants, which is just real talk. If we really want our country to roam free, we must know how to discipline ourselves first...

A Major Change of Phase

The struggle to learn during the pandemic is no joke for most students. It is clear that we are experiencing difficulties when it comes to school. It’s just that nowadays, learning is not as productive nor joyous like before. As a 10 th  grader from a public school, even students from a private school, many relate to the fact that I, myself, is having trouble keeping up with the lessons and activities given for us to undertake.                  We students do believe that education is the most lethal weapon to have as we excel in life and face endless trials that come our way. Although, it is to be said that we no longer have the same drive nor excitement to learn. There is nothing much we can do as mere students. When you think about, all we do is receive copies of our modules weekly, self-study, answer the given tasks and pass them. I do get tired of this...

Dear Mr. President,                I am now writing this for you to know that I, a student in 10 th grade of Ilocos Sur National High School is thankful for what you have done to improve our country, the Philippines, during your term in presidency. You may not have been the perfect President to all, but all that matters is that you did your best for the sake of the people and the country. I know it is painful to accept the fact that you cannot please all the netizens above everything you have done. I do believe from the depths of my heart in your sincerity of truly loving our country and protecting the people from harm’s way. You have inspired me that despite all the trouble, problems and tasks that the country   and people has given you in charge of, you still remain composed. You have taught me to ignore the people whom judge you due to the mistakes that you didn’t mean in   doing so and also gave me the courage and co...

“Life is a song, sing it” .  Music is not only known for its sound, but the message it conveys. Many of us have considered it as the only thing that understands you in any emotional or mental state you are in. You get to live in your own little world where you get to escape from reality for once in a while. I do believe that life is indeed a song. The meaning of life is to find your voice. You explore the world. You experience joy, sadness, anger, fear and more along your journey finding this voice of yours. You get to make your own soundtrack in life. We can all agree that music can be an inspiration in life. Music, it is the language of the heart. Music, it has helped me through countless battles in our world. It helped me understand more about reality. Whether you are at your worst of the darkest days or at your brightest of the best, music can be the only thing that will stay no matter the cost. Although we can ...
